CRAFTS THAT RAN AGROUND AT THE PORT
After a severe windstorm, several crafts that were moored to buoys at the port got their lines cut and ran aground at the shore.
In light of this situation, Silarp was urged to come up with a salvage plan as fast and efficiently as possible.
In order to do this, work units that could perform independently and simultaneously were created. The contingency plan included: gathering of information, informing the authorities of the salvage actions, mobilizing the human and material resources, creating the contracts with the different service providers for the execution of the required tasks, and preparing and carrying out the salvage plans.
After 11 days of work, Silarp and the work team managed to put the crafts on land.

COLLISION OF BARGES
A barge caused a collision against a marine vessel and as a result, several containers were damaged. Silarp’s involvement was necessary so as to carry out the inspection of the transshipment, verify the condition of the cargo on the new units, and report on the findings.
In order to minimize the risks, it was decided to remove part of the cargo and to discharge the container to the pier. There, we verified the condition of the new container and we proceeded to transship all the cargo. Silarp, due to its dedication and professional work, assured the client all the service and support necessary in these sorts of situations.

CONTAINERS FALLEN AT THE PORT AFTER STRONG WINDS
Strong winds caused the fall of a group of empty containers stowed at the Port. Silarp was summoned in order to determine the reason behind the fall and to establish the scope of damages to their structure.
All the affected containers were removed from their original stowage positions and we came up with a new 2-level stowage oriented perpendicularly to the pier. During the inspection, it was possible to verify that only 24 containers were affected (tilted and fallen) with minor damages in their structure due to contact with other containers.
